Day 2:
Ben was still cranky in the morning, but by the time he took a nap he was better! No fever, nothing.. back to his usual vibrant self! We went swimming in the current pool, that was FUN! :-) The kids had a blast, except Ben slipped (on my watch, thank you very much Pat! ;-) ) and cracked his head on the tile floor. Poor kid! Later, Grandma & Poppa watched the kids while Chris and I went to dinner with Selena, Jason, and the cousins (minus Amanda who was on a flight back from Africa!). Went to a cute place on the lake and ate fish!! MMmmmmm fish. :-) Jason watched the Nuggets game. Really had a fantastic time with the cousins.. conversation was great, made some good memories.. collected some good new stories and old memories to hopefully try to remember.. though not fit for blog world. (ROB, if you read this... You know what I am referring to!!) Drank some white russians at the restaurant, and then went home & to bed!
Day 3:

It was the first sunny day of the trip! We decided to head out on the boat pretty early in the morning. The sun was high, the water was low and we were off! Needless to say, the kids loved it! I was very stressed seeing as how the life-vests were wet from swimming the day before and it was a bit too chilly for them to wear them, so every time Ben leaned ever-so-slightly over the edge my heart-rate sped up a few knots! (boat humor, sorry, had to!) They loved it! Uncle Bob
let them drive with Chris for a bit, and Hanna tried out the boat potty. :-) It was a beautiful tour!
After the boat ride, we decided to take the paddle boat for a few spins (literally- I was driving and couldn't get the thing to go STRAIGHT!!).
Once Chris took over, we headed down the canal a bit and looked at turtles sun-bathing on a lo
g and spotted a frog or two on lillypads. :-)After nap, the kids went for another swim in the current pool with Cousin Megan! Then it was time for Hanna's and Aunt Mary's joint birthday party! We had a weiny roast where the kids got to roast their own hot dogs over the fire. For Hanna's party, we all took turns rolling and running the ball of ice cream up and down the long hill to make fresh strawberry ice cream with home-grown strawberries to eat with our cake! :-)

After cake, for Mary's party, we all sat around until really late and drank and laughed and shared stories until the lights of the day and the fire diminished and the mosquitoes came out in full force!
What a nice day that was... :-)
